Marijke Bos

Domain specialist at "Stichting Lezen"

Marijke works as a domain specialist for early childhood education at Stichting Lezen. She graduated as a socio-cultural scientist and educationalist and has been working at Stichting Lezen since 2007. She plays a coordinating and advisory role within the pre- and early-school sector, with the aim of giving reading promotion a structural place within childcare, youth health care and the library world, among others. Stichting Lezen (the Reading Foundation) collects research and passes on expertise to professionals as a knowledge centre. From within Stichting Lezen, Marijke is involved in innovation and quality assurance of the BoekStart programme and works together with the library sector on this. Scientific research, in addition to monitoring and evaluation, gives impetus to improve reading promotion programmes such as BoekStart.
